class mpylab.device.amp_ifi_smx25.AMPLIFIER(**kw)

Bases: AMPLIFIER

Driver for the IFI SMX25 amplifier.

Parameters:

kw (mapping) – Keyword arguments forwarded to the amplifier base class.

Init(ini=None, channel=None, ignore_bus=None)

Initialize and configure the amplifier for remote operation.

Parameters:
  • ini (path-like or file-like, optional) – INI configuration source.

  • channel (int, optional) – One-based configuration channel number.

  • ignore_bus (bool, optional) – Skip communication-bus initialization.

Returns:

Driver initialization status.

Return type:

int

SetFreq(freq)

Set frequency and select the corresponding amplifier band.

Parameters:

freq (float) – Frequency in Hz. The band boundary is 220 MHz.

Returns:

Status code and applied frequency in Hz.

Return type:

tuple of (int, float)
