mpylab.env.tem.immunity module¶
Validation helpers for IEC 61000-4-20 TEM immunity measurements.
- mpylab.env.tem.immunity.validate_immunity_dwell_time(dwell, minimum=0.5, allow_short_for_testing=False)
Return a validated dwell time in seconds.
IEC 61000-4-20 requires at least 0.5 s and additionally enough time for the EUT to exercise and respond.
allow_short_for_testingis intended only for virtual or unit-test configurations.- Parameters:
dwell (float) – Requested dwell time in seconds.
minimum (float, optional) – Minimum accepted dwell time in seconds.
allow_short_for_testing (bool, optional) – Permit shorter dwell times for virtual and unit-test runs.
- Returns:
Validated dwell time in seconds.

- mpylab.env.tem.immunity.validate_immunity_frequency_steps(frequencies, maximum_ratio=1.01)
Return frequencies after validating the IEC 61000-4-20 step limit.
Frequencies must be finite, positive, strictly increasing, and each step must not exceed one percent of the preceding frequency by default. A single-frequency diagnostic run is valid.

frequencies (iterable of float) – Frequencies in ascending order, in hertz.
maximum_ratio (float, optional) – Maximum ratio between consecutive frequencies.

Validated frequencies.

Validate coverage of standard vertical and horizontal orientations.
- Parameters:
positions (mapping) – Configured position names, keyed by
"v"and"h".required_positions (mapping) – Required position names for both polarizations.
allow_incomplete_for_testing (bool, optional) – Permit incomplete coverage in virtual and unit-test runs.
- Returns:
Normalized positions, missing positions, and a completeness flag.

- mpylab.env.tem.immunity.validate_immunity_reference(selection, headroom_policy='require_normative')
Validate one frequency-specific Verification reference selection.
The returned object is selection itself. This makes the helper suitable for validating complete mappings with a dictionary comprehension.
- Parameters:
selection (mapping) – Frequency-specific Verification and AM-headroom result.
headroom_policy (str, optional) – Required AM-headroom evidence policy.
- Returns:
The unchanged validated selection.
