mpylab.env.univers.name_maps.coerce_amplifier_names(names: Mapping[str, object] | None, measurement_setup: str = 'rack') AmplifierNames | DirectAmplifierNames

Coerce a mapping into a strictly typed amplifier names dictionary.

Missing keys are filled with defaults for the selected measurement setup. Values must be non-empty strings.

Parameters:
  • names (mapping or None) – Device-name overrides.

  • measurement_setup (str, optional) – Amplifier setup type, either "rack" or "direct".

Returns:

Validated and completed device-name mapping.

Return type:

AmplifierNames or DirectAmplifierNames
